| Fairfax Financial Holdings has combined its two U.S. primary insurance groups into one operation with Fairmont Specialty becoming a division of Crum & Forster Holding Inc. ("Crum & Forster"). The new division will retain the name of Fairmont Specialty and continue to offer the same products and services to its current agents and insureds. Fairmont Specialty business will be written by an insurance company of Crum & Forster (rated "A-" by A.M. Best). The business that does not immediately migrate will continue to be written by the Fairmont Specialty Group legal entities and will be 100% reinsured by an insurance company of Crum & Forster until the licensing and filing transition is completed. |
